Different moods call for different vibes--mellow for sad, energetic for happy, and sometimes even the reverse to perk myself up or to cool myself down. I just love music in general mo matter the mood. :)

My taste in music differs bi-weekly.I listen to everything from classical music to scandinavian metal. I go through phases in everything, art/writing, clothing and my general attitude towards things. There seems to be an obvious correlation with what music I listen to.

I guess I could have put "Both", but It's gotta B energetic 97% of the time. Every great once in a while I'll listen to a handful of more mellow songs, boy is it difficult to search for great mellow songs.

We all have times we switch from one to the other. For instance, I like classical, folk, country, bluegrass, and blues along with Glen Miller, Woody Herman, The Dorsey Brothers, and do not leave out The rock and roll from the 50s to the nineties. I have no time for jump rope music (rap, or hip hop). I also play the classical guitar and the steel string guitar. the banjo and (if I ever learn it" the mandolin) the harmonica. That means that I can flat pick and finger pick.
