For some people, gaming is a fully interactive experience. There is no game without a controller in your hand. But for others, watching a friend play is almost as good as playing it yourself. In fact, there are people literally making a living out of "video game voyeurism" by playing through video games with a microphone and maybe a webcam, recording it, and posting it on YouTube for hundreds, thousands, even millions of viewers.
These professional gamers take a variety of angles, from co-op adventure channels like Yogscast, which focuses on open-ended games like "Minecraft" and "Guild Wars 2," to solo horror-comedy channels like PewDiePie, who essentially films himself reacting to the most terrifying games on the market. Most of these channels rely heavily on the personalities of the people playing, and the best try to make viewers feel like they're sitting in the room right there with them. Do you enjoy watching other people play video games?
