If you don't know what I am referring to, I mean movies like "Blair Witch Project", which I believe started it all, then followed up by films like "Quarantine",

"Cloverfield",

"Chronicle",

movies that look like they were shot on a Cellphone Camera or Camcorder or Security Cam, like "Paranormal Activity",

do you like these?
Or do you like more traditionally shot steady-cam films?

Absolutely not! Such camera technique is a poor excuse for shoddy production values. They also make me queasy.

I'll watch just about any movie, but if it's one of those shaky cam films I've never made it past the first few minutes. Irritating to say the least.

they give me a head ach and make me feel sick, aside from they are usually out of focus and you cant see a lot of what you would have liked to see.

I do hate the fact that the camera gets horrible shots almost half the time of the movie,but it also helps blend in reality to the movie.I actually liked the "Blair Witch Project",those slow approaches to certain objects gave it a lot of suspense.

Quarantine was a good movie but I still prefer the original (:

Certain scenes can be shot that way to create a sense of a character's POV, but if the whole film is shot that way it gets annoying. There has to be a good reason for using that technique which contributes to the story.

I didnt like 'Paranormal Activity', but 'Quarantine' was okay, and I really enjoyed 'Chronicle'...
