Love Rock 'n Roll of the 50s on 'til now, of various types, with the exclusion of some heavy metal. Prefer rock with balanced sound and lyrics both meaningful and able to be heard. Also love Country and the Blues/Jazz.

Yes, as a resident of NYC for many years I had an ample selections of concerts and other events to choose from. I attended many rock concerts, seeing all the well known bands. I don't recall enjoying myself more than at a favorite band's concert. The only thing in fact that was generally good in my life is my slice of the paid entertainment pie, up to when I reached middle age.
For some reason I can listen to just about anything but jazz, especially smooth jazz. I don't mind dixieland jazz, but the stuff on the radio with saxophones and all, can't do it.
