I love this music and dance, I am half Pakistani after all ;) I love most music that is a fusion of Eastern and Western, especially dance music (Natascha Atlas/Talvin Singh/Karsh Kale to name a few). Arabic dancing is way sexier than the lewder dance forms seen in the West. More power to you!

I'm learning belly dance. Jamila Salimpour technique/style. The music's fun, but it's the dancing that gets me going.

Hello, I wasn't exposed to that type of music until I started watching So You Think You Can Dance, and I find the music to be very uplifting, sort of the opposite of rap, which sounds angry to me. This season a young Belly Dancer is the first Belly Dancer to make it into the top 20 since the show began several years ago, and I think it's great. I'm hoping she wins the whole show. I think Arab women are the most beautiful women on this planet. My favorite actress and facebook friend is Azita Ghanizada, and she's from Afghanistan, does that count as being Arab?

Well, it's worth looking into. Worst case scenario, I find vids hubby, Brianna and I can enjoy together. :-)
So, it's a 'win' no matter what.
...at 6'3 though, and my bust...might be tough finding anything 'off the rack' that'll fit. LoL
It is nice even just to watch and listen to though.

As everthing they screw the belly dance. It's a sensuel dance of a Arabic lady for his man to make relax! Now...It become a sport nearly. A man can't anymore phantasie with the movement of ladies body...SAD!

They = Idiots who think they know all...with no knowledge but many ideas! They have changed the conception of original belly dance.
By the way...seems Allah gave you a " Masallah " body for belly dansing...I wish I could watch your performance... :) But be careful choosing the music is also very important! Take care bella... XXX Larry
