I first heard it driving home from work one when my kids were very young and I had to stop and pull over, I was crying so hard. Now I pray that I live to see my grandchildren grow and see what they become.
Me too. My oldest grandson is 12. The youngest is two. And Im getting up there in years. Bummer. But hey, maybe. You just never know in this life. I hope I see the youngest at least into his 20's. That would be nice. Thanks Auntie for your gorgeous song.
I have two: 1: God Speed (Sweet Dreams), Dixie Chicks and 2: You've Got a Friend
I also created songs for each of them with their names spelled out in them so they would learn how to spell. We are a family of musicians so as goofy as it is, I sang to them EVERY day! (Now as teens, they beg me NOT to). They grew up under a piano bench and guitar stand and their Dad can pick up any instrument and play it (to my chagrin). They are both now fine artists/musicians themselves. Although my son is a fine bass guitarist, acoustic guitarist and piano player, I wish he would quit the drums :)! Our house is the one where all the kids come to "jam" -- it is very loud! I am so glad I know all of their friends and they are comfortable here. I am bragging on them! My biggest downfall.
Not goofy at all. Absolutely great. I love hearing it. Teens, of course not. LOL (I call them meanagers, LOL) You've got a friend. Great song for your kids. My son is a musician and can play anything too. I wish he would pursue it. He says there is no one serious enough for a band that he knows. Bummer. You can brag about them all you want here. I dont mind. You just love your kids. As Lara said, they are our sunshine.
Thanks for the response.
