I don't hate it, I used to hate it with a passion.
But, I've calmed down now and look at it for what it truly is. Just a silly teenage romance novel, used as a bit of escapism.
I think people may be a tad too harsh on it at times. I mean, of course it's not Shakespeare or Oscar Wilde quality, but for teenagers, it's relatively harmless (except twihards, they scare me 0_o)
I don't like mushy romance novels, personally. I can't stand purple prose! But, to each their own.
I don't hate this series and I don't think this is all that great of a book series, but it is a good read. It's like reading a terrible fanfiction from Quizilla that you just can't stop reading.
They're not vampires, they're fairies. If you want to see a "real" vampire, look at Bela Lugosi or Gary Oldman.
During my stint in a video rental store, a teen girl's father asked me whether or not Twilight was appropriate for his daughter. "Let me put it to you this way: sparkling vampires." He rented it.
I dont hate the books. I thought the books were pretty good. I read them all twice. But the movies ruin it. The movies are the things that make baies cry...
I do.
That series has disgraced the vampire label, changing blood thirsty, horrifically vile creatures into sparkling beings.
Way to ruin horror twilight.
I read the first two books before they became popular and thought for what they were they were ok. By the time the fourth book came out and almost every girl at my school was screaming about how it was the best love story ever written I was fed up with it...but still Twilight is not as bad the the Vampire Diaries books.
