'Titanic' Kin Recreate Doomed Voyage

The 100th anniversary of Titanic's 1912 sinking has already seen the
re-issue of James Cameron's Oscar-winning film, the release a new miniseries
and countless documentaries -- but the people offering up the most
questionable celebration are undoubtedly the original passengers' family
members.

A cruise carrying the relatives of some of the 1,500 passengers who perished into the North Atlantic, have set out on a memorial voyage which will re-chart the ship's course -- including a stop where the massive ocean liner sank on April 15, 1912.

Not
only that, but many of the 1,300 plus people are dressed in period
accurate costumes. In other words, they're straight up taunting death.

I mean, this is some Final Destination 6
sh*t right here! You don't think the universe has a sense of irony,
people?!? If a ship charting the same course, on the 100th anniversary
of history's most memorable oceanic accident, carrying the same number
of passengers (all dressed up like their ancestors) doesn't sink, I'll buy you The Heart of The Ocean.

I meant to click no. T.T I don't have a problem with it. I think it would actually be pretty cool to be apart of that.

Not at all, it's really cool. I don't believe it will sink either.

Maybe they want some sort of closure - not sure but I don't think they have any disrespect! It sank so many years ago - they are probably looking for their past!

Memorials even in period dress are not disrespectful but instead respectful. It's nice to see that those that were saved from the sinking have lived on through their family.

Not a big deal man just a memorial thats like say re-enacters are taunting death by recreating Civil War Battles. Plus it serves a historical purpose geez

Its relatives of the deceased?I can see THEM getting offended if it were just some random people doing this. But it's not. They are honoring them in their own way.

And saying they are "taunting death" is just plain superstitious and silly.

People do this kind of thing ALL the time!
Maybe you think war reenactments are offensive? What about thanksgiving day plays?

That's really superstitious. They won't crash and sink and die again. This is the 21st Century. We have more knowledge and will take more safety precautions. If the same thing happens again, I will jump off The Statue Of Liberty. XD x

No I don't...it doesn't offend me anyway. If they want to do that...they sure can as far as I'm concerned
