Do you find the horror movies in black and white to be more scarier than those movies made in color?

Paranormal Activity ... shows a part of a bright side and how scary it also can be(dont want to mention any part of the movie, spoilers u know) and sadly in black and white movies u can't feel the contrast between the dark scenes and bright ones

I still have issues with the first Night of the Living Dead, so freaking scary. The color remake was good, but was not nearly as scary. I cheered at the end, which I don't think you are supposed to do with a horror movie.

It depends on the movie and director. Some movies are better in black and white and others are better in color.

They had substance. Not just some lunatic running around slashing people to death everywhere. Dial M for Murder & Psycho are among the scariest I've seen!

Bela Lugosi as Dracula, Boris Karloff as Frankenstein's monster, Lon Chaney Jr as the Wolf man and Claude Rains as the Invisible Man. Those were scary movies

I've got all the respect in the world for some of the talent. But, B & W just takes something away from it for me.

With the success of "The Artist," I would like to see a silent scary black and white movie.

Definitely yes. These films were more scary in black and white. Horror movies lately are more stupid. I don't like people screaming, bleeding running with axes and saws. Movies today have to much hype, no quality. Too much technology took over good acting. Psychological thrillers are my favorite.

Black and white just makes everything creepier and better. I like- no LOVE- old movies. The film quality just makes me happy ^_^
