I don't have a land line phone, so letting them inside would be pointless. If someone knocks on my door and requests a phone, I'll hand them my cell and they can make their call from my front porch.

I have a 1 YO daughter I need to keep safe, and there have been a big increase in home invasions in the last couple years. I would probably let them use my cell phone, which I could hand them through the window.

If I didn't know them I wouldn't let them, I live on the second floor of an apartment that requires a key-code to enter the building, or the caretaker to let you in. He has a phone.

There are 3 public telephones less than 25 yards from my building so it would be highly unusual someone would come to my home to ask to use the phone. There is also a police station less than 150 yards away if anyone needed help :)

I don't trust people I don't know.I don't even trust some people I do know.I'd take my cell to the door or make the call for them myself.If they wanted to be a butt about it,then I'd call 911 and slam the door in their face.
