I turn the TV volume right up, go to the toilet, then talk along and agree with everything the crappy advert actors say...

Use the fast forward feature. Most everything I watch is taped, and strictly so no commercials are watched. Except on Super Bowl. Then I want to watch those.

Record and watch later, turn off the sound or fast forward. Most commercials are a bore and poorly done.

I usually DVR stuff & skip the commercials. It's not as much fun if you do that with sports, tho'. So, I usually find a distraction when they come on.

Almost always - sick of watching them. Record a 1 hour program, play it back you can watch fast forwarding through the commercials in 30 minuets
The kicker is we pay a premium to watch commercials

But I mute the sound and do other things. I find that I've missed some pretty funny ads, like the Progressive ad where the men's pants catch on fire due to them being liars, that I will catch while on break at work. Cracked up on that one, but not as much as when Wendy's did the Russian fashion show ad, laughed so very hard I never even know whose ad it was or which product was being advertised. Finally asked someone at work what that ad was all about.

IF I'm watching a broadcast in real-time. I record most of my programs and fast forward through the commercials. I hate commercials!

I hate commercials and I never watch them. But I have a DVR and I record everything before I watch it. So I just fast forward through them all

Exactly. I wouldn't mind them so much if they'd mix em up a bit. But, I don't need to see the same commercial 6 times an hour.

If the commercials annoy me that much, I just record what I'm watching and watch something else while it's recording. Then I can fast forward through the commercials.

And yes, I'm probably one of the maybe three people on this site who neither knows or cares about college basketball.
