I judge no one and expect the same in return. Their life and actions are none of my business, as mine is none of theirs. JMHO

Yes. It's not just a right, it can be a life or death need which is why we have evolved the ability to make these judgments. Easy ones, like "hey that guy just killed my buddy for his shoes, therefore that guy is bad."

More difficult and controversial ones like "This guy/girl is really nice looking and friendly, but he/she has sex with a lot of people and may be spreading STDs so I'm staying away from him/her."

We each make our own judgments in life and have to live with the consequences.

And if you're politically correct, you probably think I'm terrible for judging you, and everyone else. Enjoy that feeling you have about me, it's called a judgment. Yep, you judged me. That makes you terrible too, and a hypocrite to boot.

Both harmony and discord have their value and both can be functional or dysfunctional. Discord definitely has its place (constructive criticism, honest feedback and other forms of "discord" are often very needed and very crucial).

Also, leading up to exercising our best judgment is developing better judgment, we do so only with practice and that does involve judging ourselves and others (not all judgment is bad).

That being said, it's often to reserved judgment and find out more information...or just suspend judgment indefinitely when picking our battles.

Everyone judges each other, so we shouldn't be mad when people judge us.

The politically correct responce whould be No but let's face it folks, we are going to be Judged by our peers and sooner or later do some judging ourselves.

Best thing to do is just accept that fact of human nature, keep doing what your doing, and move on with life. And try to catch yourself before you judge. (You won't be successful 100% but hey, who am I to Judge?)

Is it always appropriate to voice these judgements? No. Is is ok to be hateful to someone based upon those judgements? No. However, yes, we do have a right to judge each other. That goes along with the right to free speech and our right to have an opinion. Also, basic human interaction is full of judgement. We judge whether certain people are safe to approach. We judge whether a person is someone that we would be willing to form a romantic relationship or friendship with, etc. Judging can be useful.

We are to judge with righteous judgment. If we are never to judge, then murderers, child molesters, rapists, thieves, etc. would walk around free.

"Jesus said: "Judge not, that you be not judged" (Matthew 7:1). Does this mean we are never to judge? Certainly not, for Jesus also said: "Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment" (John 7:24). We are commanded to exercise righteous judgment. We are forbidden to judge when we are not qualified to do so."

"Jesus said: "Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the same measure you use, it will be measured back to you. And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck out of your eye'; and look, a plank is in your own eye? Hypocrite! First remove the plank from your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye" (Matthew 7:1-5)."

We judge others as a form of protection. It's needed. But that doesn't mean we go around being bullies to each other.

No we as people do not have the right to pass judgement upon others in that way we are also freed from being judged as the Bible states

Matthew 7:1“Stop judging that YOU may not be judged; 2for with what judgment YOU are judging, YOU will be judged; and with the measure that YOU are measuring out, they will measure out to YOU. 3Why, then, do you look at the straw in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the rafter in your own eye? 4Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Allow me to extract the straw from your eye’; when, look! a rafter is in your own eye? 5Hypocrite! First extract the rafter from your own eye, and then you will see clearly how to extract the straw from your brother’s eye.

YES! One has to have a moral code , code of conduct , ideals , standards to live by.
Others are judged by the same standards that are applied to ourselves.
Consider , even by disagreeing or agreeing , you would then be making a judgement .
To be nonjudgmental would to be say there is no such thing as a crime .
That nothing is rude , offensive and there are not standards of behavior.

Do we have the right? No. Do we do it anyway? Yes. Even people who try not to tend to do it, they may not do it intentionally but they do it.
