Do you believe that Mers/Mermaid/Mermen can exist?

I want to believe they do.

I wish they existed. This world could use a little magic.

i pushed maybe i saw the evidence on tv there is real evidence that the scientists studied something that came out of the ocean. so i could very well be true there are many mysteries in the ocean that they havent discovered yet.

anyway go to history channel under documentaries and type in keyword mermaids and it will come up interesting stuff.

Jimmy Buffett had a lot of mermaids in his aquarium at the Lakewood Ampitheater in Atlanta, I saw them last Saturday.

I'm going to say maybe because the question is can they exist. I doubt they do exist, as there haven't been a whole lot of "sightings" reported, but our oceans are so tremendously huge and technology is allowing diving bells to go further and further down to the bottom and they've been finding all kinds of new species of fish that I honestly don't want to come right out and say with any certainty that there are not any. But, again, I doubt it.

In the absence of evidence, I maintain the null hypothesis. That doesn't mean I am closed to evidence, just that I refuse to believe in the absence of evidence.

there was a show on tv i think the history channel that showed something weird that washed up on shore the scientists looked and studied the remains and concluded that it was possibly a mermaid. so who knows??

Well, in my case it is not a matter of belief... as I don't believe in anything... I just know there are some things that exist and others that could be real, etc... But after I saw a wonderful girl when I was a kid and liked her so much that later she was the reason to create the perfect image of mermaids in some of my books, I knew mermaids do exist! No matter that it could happen only in fairy-tales, fantasy stories, etc... You know, sometimes the imaginary things could be more real than those we see with our own eyes every day? Best wishes to all fans/friends of mermaids/mer people! Let the wonderful noise of the sea always sounds in your ears! (as my water dragons' hunters would greet - my Tale Of The Rock Pieces).

and the other mysterious animals .. we have not explore the entire world so how do we know that their are do not exist...

i mean comeon. REALLY!!! half human, half fish. there's no way that would happen. and if it did, it would be in some mad scientist's lab, where the human DNA is mixed up with fish DNA, and they most possibly wouldn't grow a tail
