Do you believe that A-ROD OF NEW YORK YANKEES USED PERFORMANCE DRUGS?
Alex Rodriguez would like to release Reggie Jackson from his roster of friends.
The Yankee third baseman is still livid over comments Mr. October made to Sports Illustrated about him, and a source close to the situation says if A-Rod had his way, he “would never speak to Reggie Jackson again.”
In an interview with the magazine published July 5, the Hall of Fame slugger and Yankee legend said Rodriguez’s admission of steroid use should keep him from joining the legends of the game in the Cooperstown, N.Y., museum.
“Al’s a very good friend,” Jackson told S.I. “But I think there are real questions about his numbers. As much as I like him, what he admitted about his usage does cloud some of his records.”
At 36, Rodriguez has amassed some of the most impressive numbers in baseball history. A-Rod surpassed Jackson on Major League Baseball’s all-time home run list in 2009, the same year he admitted to using performance-enhancing drugs earlier in his career.
Jackson told SI that if players linked to performance drugs are voted into the hall, “no Hall of Famer will attend” their induction ceremony.
“Jackson says he’s a good friend of A-Rod, but Alex is very angry,” says the insider.
After Jackson’s remarks were published, Rodriguez was said to be visibly disappointed when talking to reporters before a game against the Red Sox in Boston on July 6.
“With friends like that, who needs enemies?” he said.

+1Rodriguez wasn't one of them though. Shouldn't be a doubt in your mind because he admitted it in an interview in 2009.reply - Heisenberg Tom 2012/07/16 17:56:55
Even if he wasn't in the Mitchell Report which was released probably two years prior, the investigation hadn't reached its entirety by the time A-Rod's name came up.reply
