melly~thwarting Satan since... 2010/11/10 15:00:11No. It’s an ineffective form of punishment.

In addition, timeout is not the only discipline tool a parent has. It is very effective, but there are positive reinforcement techniques that work very well too. It requires patience and work by the parent but well worth the extra time. It is my opinion that parents who resort to physical discipline are not equiped with the knowledge and tools to incorporate them into their daily routine and therefore, rule by the hand (or switch or paddle).
I beat my children regularly.
Funny how you libs love interfering in the lives of others.
So if my wife murdered the baby in utero = it's a choice
BUT
If I spank my chidren = I deserve anal rape and imprisonment
Liberal logic in full display.
Second, I believe if you truly beat your children daily, and those are your words, either something isn't working for you in your discipline techniques or you have a really bad temper.
Third, you are assuming I am a Liberal and you know what is said about assuming. In this case your assumptions are WAY off base and you prove the old saying is correct.
Whatever the case may be, I stand by my convictions that corporal punishment has no value in the raising of responsible children, and parents who resort to physical discipline are setting a poor example for conflict resolution.
"First, I don't wish anal rape upon you for being a parent. "
You should think before you type.
Parenting does not give you the right to "beat" your children on a daily basis. If it did, there wouldn't be laws against it.
I'm not saying that all children will grow up like I did, but there are so many other techniques can be used to discipline children that will teach them not just punish them.
