Personally, no.
I play FPS games and im totally fine. Ill admit i do end up raging sometimes, but if anything the video games have taught me to control my temper as when im all pissed off at it, i cant shoot lol. I dont rage so easily anymore, and i dunno how but its kinda helped me deal with issues in real life too as video games (like Mw3, Black ops, etc..) are a great stress releavor, instead of taking the fury out on people ive learned to overcome that and take it out on the games :)
that might just be me though..lol.
As for the kids, well.. they ALWAYS blame the video games. my god. Dont blame the stress or environmental factors, its all the games fault -.-
I believe many get destracted. However, im sure they know its only a game, if they dont then why are they even playing it :L its for amusement, for fun and a way to kill the time
i see nothing wrong with it :)

Video games have been accused of making people violent, of reducing verbal memory, of hurting grades... They've been accused of a lot of things. But a new study published in Psychology and Popular Media Culture suggests they could be responsible for increasing impulsive behavior. Or not. Actually, they're not sure. The study only found a correlation between the two, meaning it could just as easily be that impulsive people are prone to playing video games.
The study found that children who play video games had greater difficulty "engaging in or sustaining behavior to reach a goal," which might seem counter-intuitive for people who play goal-oriented games. The study's author said in a news release, "This is an important finding because most research on attention problems has focused on biological and genetic factors rather than on environmental factors." Do you think playing video games can make people more impulsive?

Will they? Probably not.
Personally, I'm just as unimpulsive in video games as I am in real life. Takes me forever to make decisions. Actually, I think most gamers think about what they do in games very carefully so that they can do it perfectly and get everything, or at least not lose.
