If there is an audience brain dead enough to want a series, let them have it.
Problem is, it would most likely be on a channel like MTV which it is paid for by people wanting to watch other things.
The viewership for MTV is not large enough to pay for itself and must cannibalize from a large pool, like many other stations do that people do not watch in order to be seen at all.

I would prefer, if it was to be put on a TV channel, let it go on a premium channel where people must pay to watch it and a few others like it. Then see how big a following it has.

I'm not so much as voting 'Kill it' as I am 'leave it be'. I love the Scream franchise, aside from 3, that one just sucked. But I don't want it to be ruined through making it into a show like so many other movies have been.

I meant to vote kill it. The writers are running out of material to write about. Its the same crap! Come up with something new! Thats why I love netflix. Pay 10 bucks and just wait for the movies to come to netflix. and watch as many as you want... Screw paying 10.50 at the movie theatre that u have seen a thousand times.

i think it's funny that some are talking about the movie as though it's froma completely different culture..it was the 1990's NOT the 1890's...movies weren't that different ..have you watched many?/ you'd know..and the culture certainly wasn't any different than it is now.

however,to add to my last post,i gotta say that to revivev it as a series is rather lame..this another indication that hollywodd has lost it's battle with original imagination.this is why they're doing remakes so often now.no real talent in hollywood anymore.so they're relying on the works of proven "masters" of the past to make their bucks..this is really sad,as it just shows us that the movie industry has nothing but lamers working in it now.hollywood's a dyin' folks

What would the plot even be if there are different killers each episode? To me it just sounds like a Wes Craven version of the Scooby Doo series.
