I'm a Cardinals fan with season tickets in the family. I saw a ton of his homeruns here, including his 500th and the majority of the home dingers in the 98 season. I was unavailable when he broke the record and still chaffe thinking about it.

How'd that work? I thought GABP opened in 2003, replacing Cinergy. McGwire set 70 in 1998.

I know Mark hit one 473 in 2000 though.

I saw him hit home runs 50 and 51, at Wrigley Field, when he was in the home run race with Sosa. Then a couple more times at Bank One Ballpark in Phoenix.
