Say what you want about Usher's "OMG," but at least enough people liked the song to help it top the Billboard Hot 100. So fans might be surprised to find out that a part of the song, intentionally or not, lines up almost exactly with a song sung by Homer on "The Simpsons" in 2003.
We're sure Usher is flattered.
The similarities were first noticed by morning radio DJs at Y101.7. They played similar clips from the songs side by side, emphasizing similarities in both the melody and the lyrics.
First the DJs played a clip from "OMG" that goes, "Honey got a booty like pow, pow, pow; honey got some moves like wow, oh wow." Then they played a clip of a song sung by Homer in the episode "Dude Where's My Ranch," which goes, "Christmas in December, wow wow wow. Give me tons of presents, now now now."
Though the melodies and words do match up oddly well, we're still not ready to accept that Usher actually ripped the song off "The Simpsons," but it does question Usher's credibility if he's coming up with the same tunes as Homer.

Homer Simpson is, and he's a fictional character. But this Usher
fellow, I think he was at my cousin's wedding and showed to my seat.
