Did Judges Rob Manny Pacquaio?

We don't normally cover combat sports here on SodaHead, but there are times when it warrants our attention. Case in point: the big boxing match over the weekend between arguably the best in the world, Manny Pacquiao Vs. contender Timothy Bradley. Much like rival Floyd Mayweather Jr., when "Pacman" fights, everyone watches.

And everyone watched Pacquiao dominate practically the whole fight. While there was a round or two you could give to Bradley, it wasn't like he'd beat the legend in any judges' eyes. How wrong those observers were. Pacquaio lost the fight via split decision, meaning two out of three judges lacked common sense, were blind, or are just completely incompetent.

Whatever the case is with those two judges, Pacquiao lost a fight nearly everyone says he won. People talked about fixing. Many celebrities from Justin Timberlake to 50 Cent called out the Nevada State Athletic Commission on Twitter over the judging. Wikipedia pages were vandalized. Some called it the end of boxing. Bradley first said he'd have to watch the fight to see if he won, and later changed his tune saying he thought he won. Which one is it, dude?

On a humorous note, Pacquaio went missing for awhile before the main event and it turns out, he was still in his street clothes until the end of the Heat-Celtics Game 7. He also needed a treadmill to stretch his calves. And he still ended up dominating. No investigation has been opened on the judging and fans obviously aren't happy. On the bright side, at least Manny Pacquiao's calves were loose! But let's be real: numbers don't lie...

the decision should be reverse and name Manny the winner, that will be the right thing to do, and the judges should admit that they screwed up badly and appoligize to Many, the Boxing Commission and all the Boxing Fans, after all that is done they should disappear from the face of this earth

Bradley keeps hugging Paquiao during the fight. He might as well get a T-shirt done that will read I LOVE PAQUIAO. Manny was too humble of a fighter. He had several chances to knock out Bradley but chose to spar instead. Pacquiao knows when a fighter is hurt and when to capitalize on it. He have punches accuratecy with power. No wonder Gayweather finds every excuse in the book to avoid fighting the #1 fighter in the world.

Nevada casinos were doing poorly financially. They probably made over a billion dollars from this fight. There are a lot of people that placed a bet for a Pacquiao win.

Sounds like it, if those stats listed are for real. I didn't see the fight, but I've seen fixed events before.

Who bet on this Bradley guy, anyway? Follow the money!

Judges should be officials like football refs and responsible to the Boxing Ass'n, whatever it is. Fights like the last one and the ridiculous judging should be reviewed when the judging is so obviously bad. The problem with the present judging system is a judge can, in his mind, begin to like and admire a certain fighter more than the other,-for whatever reason. This bias colors his judgement so he may count a few good, clean punches from his favorite as more effective than the many more and just as effective punches of his opponent. When a fighter has a very bad round then follows it up with a much better round, even though it might still be less effective as the opponents, the bias judge awards the round to his fighter,...on the basis it was that much better than the last round.
These bad decisions should never be left to stand. Oh, well...next time Manny will ko Bradley.

This was very different to the hagler fight,Im a huge Hagler fan and I have studied every round closely,Leonard was cunning enough to outpoint Marvin,he really stole that fight with his act.Judges must be pulle in from areas with varied opinions on scoring. The man creating the fight is normally the man pushing forward, its not enough to just dance and sidestep to win the rounds.these type of fighters are pitty pat hitters aswel and spoil matches.

T there WILL be a rematch, it's in the contract Bradley has to fight Pac-Man first! Was there a fix? I'd have to say yes, Pacqiao easily won that fight there was no contest.

Anybody that knows boxing know that Bob Arum put the fix down. Pac-Man is about to leave Arum so he wants to keep the belts in his camp. You think rematch clause? Doesn't matter, Arum has something in there that Bradley won't have to fight him. Gift and the Curse for Manny cause he will get the fight with Mayweather now with Arum out of the deal. Plus make so much on the fight he can go into politics after with that epic battle on his resume no matter the outcome. Manny isn't on the juice. It was Arum all along holding things up.

Look at it this way. If Manny had won there would probably be no rematch. Arum knew Pacquiao-Maywether was not going to happen thus a word to the judges, if a round looked even, give it to Bradley. They did and the rematch will make Arum a bundle.
