The austere federal budget plan drafted by Rep. Paul D. Ryan and embraced by Republicans as a sweeping reimagining of government has hit a roadblock on the way to the so-called fiscal cliff.

The proposal had catapulted the 42-year-old Wisconsin Republican into a role as the party's intellectual leader on Capitol Hill and led GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney to choose him as his running mate.

And it is our fault.Simply put,Republicans have insulted the intelligence of the American people.And deliberately work at mis-directing,lying to and swindiling the American people. Democrats only because everything is relative,and because of the Republicans arrogance and stupidity appear more reasonable and sane.However, most Democrats are guilty of the same criminal activity.Achieving personal wealth and power.Which I have come to believe and accept as the sole motivation for becoming a politician.Republicans by their words and actions are motivated by the desire to become part of the faceless politically powerful American Royality.Democrats are willing to share the wealth and power with a greater number of the common people.Which provides Democrats with political power.Term Limits with conditions are a must.

Is the GOP really stupid enough to think the low approval rating for Congress is so low because the American people disliked the President's actions?
The Republicans who remain in Washington are only there because the Republicans controlled the Congressional Re-Districting. Even that won't save them in the next round of Elections if they don't learn how to co-operate to do the People's Business.

The 47% you refer to includes those who have no earned income and live strictly on their Trust Funds. And also those who live on Income from Stocks and Bonds neither of which is Earned Income and is not taxable at the Tax Rate I pay.
Lose the hate, it is neither complimentary nor useful dialogue. IMO

Again, Capital Gains, by definition are those held longer than a year.
They are taxed at a lower rate than Earned Income. Earned Income by definition is Wages and Tips.
Unless of course you have a Spouse who is drawing Social Securit Disability. In that case, you must pay Income Tax on the Disability Income at the same rate a Single Individual pays.

Bush inherited the largest surplus of federal funds ever inherited by any president in history (even with adjustments for value of the dollar). He did not win the 2000 presidential election, spent all of the money in the middle east and allowed a corporation to be ran in our country that was chaired by his father that received a portion of every item that went to support the middle east. Every bullet, gun, bottle of water and horrible meal the troops were given to eat, EVERYTHING. It was like a war tax that went to a private company (Venture Capital) that was used strictly during the war, while their web site is still up they do not answer phones, that profited the president's family and he was the leader that declared war against Iraq (if you remember we didn't go there immediately, it took a while to get the lawyers and corporation coordinated) if that's not insider trading what is? Martha Stewart went to jail over 30 grand, They made hundreds of BILLIONS. Then left office with the greatest deficit in U.S. history. Everyone blames Obama for this economy (and I believe every politician is crooked) but the biggest drop in the market since the great depression was in 2008 and Obama had not been elected yet. Instead, Bush left us broke, in debt and needing to borrow more just to stay afloat. Unless you're only 4 years old you have to take everything into account not just what the republicans and tea partiers repeatedly cry about. Use YOUR mind and YOUR memory to clearly see why we are where we are, don't be a sheep following the criers and racists.
