Demi Moore has been looking dangerously thin lately, but we were still surprised to hear that she was hospitalized Monday night for "exhaustion" following a 911 call placed from her home.

"Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health. She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends," Moore's rep said in a statement.

We all know that in Hollywood speak, "exhaustion" is usually code for, well, something else -- and sources tell TMZ that Moore is being treated for substance abuse.

Moore has certainly had a rough few months -- she filed for divorce from husband Ashton Kutcher in November after six years of marriage amid infidelity rumors. And some celebs insist that they really were "exhausted" -- like Tracy Morgan, who was taken to the hospital after collapsing earlier this week.

I'm not certain what her addiction is, but I can say with complete certainty that it isn't with food! But from malnutrition and stress the body becomes exhausted very easily too I suppose.

It's sooo very stressful to have it all.....charge rediculous amt. to star in movies, NEVER have to worry about money ( unless they waste it ) I'm sick of hollywood...they haven't a clue what it's like in the real world and no I really can't feel sorry for most stars...what if she actually had to do her ow everything, she wouldn't last a day! She's exhausted because her husband is cheating on her and she decides to take drugs...no pity from me!

Demi brought her problems on herself by marrying a boy half her age. Ashton got tired of her & looked for a hotter younger chick. Get over it, your over the hill. Find someone your own age & retire. Hope she had a pre-nup or Ashton made a cool 50 M or so. That would be enough to whip it @ her age. Hollywood isn't exactly busting down her door for work.

I picked Demi Moore, because some of the illnesses of these stars are very real, I interpreted the question to mean which illnesses were unbelievable (i.e. not real). Amy Winehouse sadly passed away. Lindsay Lohan has an ongoing battle with drugs, as do several of the others.

Demi looks way too thin..remember Karen carpenter. Her heart gave out from being too thin. My Dad had what he called a joke.." I knew a man , he dieted ,and he dieted and then he died". It is really no joke and is as dangerous as obesity .

No. No official cause of death was ever found. Her family, and medical examiner maintain she was drug-free, and had alcohol in her system, but not enough to kill her.
