To tell the truth, I had not heard a thing about this movie until a friend took me to Hunger Games last week. This is the first trailer I have seen and I love everything about it. I literally just found out that this was a show (like, when I watched the trailer and asked my husband if he had heard about it, he said he liked the show).
Johnny and Tim can do no wrong. This will be awesome.
I found the trailer a tiny bit lacking but Johnny steals my heart and tickles my funny bone every time he has been cast in a Tim Burton movie. Johnny Depp is a good actor and a quirky one as well which makes me love him more. People are more quirky than perfect after all ^-^
Oh come on, Depp is awesome no matter what character he plays. I see he got to play with the make up booth again =3 Edward Scissorhands, The Mad Hatter, Willi Wonker... I'm not surprised I oft think he makes the film...
Oh and who's a first rate actor in your book... one that can only ever play one role, the same character over and over again perhaps? Depp always draws me into a story he makes his characters believable, even if most of them are quite whacky and nuts to be honest.
Some however are serious and it is amazing that he hasn't actually been pinned down into a stereotype like Hollywood loves to do with so many actors.
Hey, Johnny the vampire and Tim the director, throw in Helena.... you have a hit. I saw a trailer and realized this is a very dark comedy like Sweeney Todd. I'm gonna love it. Johnny's schtick is spot on.
When I first saw this post I groaned. I used to love Dark Shadows as a kid and I still think it's fun to watch. (So bad it's good.) This film actually looks pretty good. Johnny Depp looks like a good vampire to me. I'll have to go see it this summer. :)
You don't know how long I've been waiting for him to play a vampire. I'm so excited to see this. It's definitely not what I was expecting, but that's the genius of Tim Burton for you. I love the original Dark Shadows, but I'm kind of glad they aren't attempting to make the same thing over again. Burton's twisted sense of humor has turned it into something more in the vein of the Addams' Family movies of the early 90s, and I'm just really looking forward to seeing it.
But this movie looks so funny! it is a bit too campy for me though I know it is intended... I will probably watch it on netflix or if someone buys me a ticket to see it. I am sorry but I am shaking my head in how wrong this is right...

Hell yeah!
Directed by Tim Burton I assume?

Johnny Depp, Dracula's long lost must-not-be-ever-mentioned brother.

Vampires don't sparkle dammit!
