Dark Knight ruled at the box office this summer and Twilight is the fall/winter fantasy pick, but which movie was more deserving of your hard earned cash this year?

The Dark Knight is the second highest grossing movie of all time. Twilight hasn't even reached 150th highest grossing movie of all time. The Dark Knight has nothing fantasy about it. It is a crime epic with superheroes, not a fantasy movie.

Twilight is a chick book. No manly guy is ever, in a googolplex of years, going to see Twilight. I haven't. And, I never will. I don't like vampires and I don't like romance novels, ergo I don't like Twilight.

It depends on whether you are a guy or a girl. If you're a guy, go get The Dark Knight. If you're a girl, go get The Dark Knight and if you like romance and vampires, go see Twilight.

Twilight scored 50%
The Dark Knight Scored 94%

Twilight got a 56
The Dark Knight got a 82

Not good enought
The Dark Knight is currently ranked as the #10 movie on imdb(some of you may not think it deserves that spot but still it's in the top 250)
Twilight isn't even on that list and it got a average user rating of 5.7

Still not enough The dark knight grossed over 1 BILLION dollars worldwide
Twilight made 408,773,703 dollars worldwide(according to boxofficemojo.com).
Now some of you might say that box office doesn't matter. That some great movies had a low box office number. Fine then consider this

The Dark Knight was nominated for 8 Oscars and Won 2 including best supporting actor
Twilight got nothing but some stupid MTV movie awards voted by fangirls

So you see if you break it down clearly the dark knight is a better movie AND it will be remember more in movie history than twilight ever will.
Twilight attacted mostly fangirls
The Dark Knight attactred pretty much anybody including comic book fans, the average joe, and plenty of movie critics.

So just admit it the Dark Knight had better acting and a bet...

Oh and BTW Heath Ledger was considered a pretty boy like Edward Cullen doing movies like "10 things I hate about you" before he became the awesome joker. Who knows maybe in the future the dude that plays edward will become a seriously good actor but for now he's just a pretty boy.

The Dark Knight was a masterpiece. A thrilling amalgam of suspense, drama, action, and the ever present question of where, exactly, the line between good and evil is drawn. Twilight, while having the amazing talent that is Yiruma behind its famous lullaby, was simply a movie based on a book that was geared towards teenage girls. Twilight is a silly book. Entertaining, yes, but still silly. The movie was also silly. There should be no question about it.

DARK KNIGHT WAS BAD....AND TWILIGHT COULD HAVE BEEN WAY BETTER, IT WASNT THT GOOD....IN MY OPINION I THINK THAT BOTH WERE EQUALLY BAD....AND PEOPLE THT SAID THT DARK KNIGHT AND TWILIGHT WERE GREAT....GOOD FOR THEM....I JUST DIDNT LIKE THEM....

both movies ar sooooo awsome but i picked the dark knight because twilight was no better as the dark knight but was a thriller and a great movie to see but the dark knight was a big hit because of the joker a.k.a Heath ledger's thrilling and most funny acting and will be sadly missed but hopefully someone could carry on wat heath ledger had in the next batman movie and i'm really glad i'm a joker a.k.a heath ledger's fan and nothing could top the joker's pefromances.

... Have you ever seen Interview With the Vampire? Ten times better. Real plot, traditional vampires, no sparkles but a LOT of fire. :-D Louis is a dang pyro, I swear it.

Oh, and the acting blows Twilight out of the water.

I loved the Twilight saga, but the movie was a complete epic failure. Dark Night was awesome, but it's not a fantasy... so why are we comparing them? Why are we comparing Dark Night to... the Twilight movie? Yeesh, no doubt, Dark Night was better.

. You've never seen the Dark Knight well than you're an idiot. FIRST off Thing2 it's not about Knights. Second off it is much better than Twilight. And I'll prove it to you scientifically. A much better box office count. A higher critical rating on rottten tomatoes and metacritic(critics website). On imdb's top 250 movies as number 6(Twilights not even on that list). Won 2 oscars with 8 oscar nominations(heath ledger being the 2nd actor to even win an Oscar in the acting category out of 7 other posthumous nominations over the years so you know it's deserved). Twilight wasn't even nominated for any Oscars. Was on AFI's top 10 list of best movies of 2008 Twilight wasn't on it.

So you tell me which one's better. And I don't care about your opinion. I care about those opinions

okay seriously...i'm a huge twilight fan yes, but let's be realistic here. Twilight hasn't even been around as long as batman. I'm sure counting the fans from back in the day Batman has more fans. Plus, come on, we're talking about the movie not the books. The books are great but the movie was very low-budget and doesn't EVEN compare to the Dark knight which made almost 1 BILLION dollars. twilighter doesn't even COMPARE to that. The dark knight will be remembered b/c of heath ledger's AMAZING performance while twilight movie will be forgotten in like 3 years or so. so seriously be realistic.

You do realize that Batman has a few hundred comics out there to base movies on, has been around for decades, and therefor has a great deal more fans than Twilight? The difference is, Batman's fans come from all sorts of ages, genders, etc... and Twilights fanbase is entirely teen and pre-teen girls. Or almost entirely.
