This situation is difficult. The woman should have known what kind of comedian he was before going to see him. If thats his comedy style, and you dont agree, dont pay money to see him. Some people do find those jokes funny. Thats his opinion and he can express it. Directing a comment about gang rape to her specifically, however, wasnt funny and was offensive. But on her part, its not ok to yell at the stage when you dont have to be in the audience.

He's a comedian. I agree with that guy on the right. If you are easily offended don't go see a comedian unless your going to see Dane Cook. The more offensive the comedian the more hilarious in my opinion. Research who you are going to see before you see them or it's your own fault if you get offended.

that's just the kinds of comedy he does, a lot of people find him offensive and this woman blogger actually admitted to not being familiar with his work, and she had been, she would have understand this was the typical kind of stuff he talks about

is rape bad? of course it is! but the point he was trying to make was that it's ok to make fun of serious things and that we shouldn't have to worry about offending people all the time.

As a survivor - it was completely out of line. I used to be an huge fan of Daniel Tosh but will never watch his show, again. I've found myself cringing with some of his jokes in the past, but this was personal...

It can be sometime funny. Very rarely, if done very well. However that was not even remotely funny, even if it had been about a less touchy subject. "All joke about carrots are funny!", let me guess, not even remotely amusing unless you're sleep deprived or on some kind of drug.

I've noticed that is the norm for these so called comedians to do. Is to take something that is hm a touchy or controversial subject and make jokes about it. I never liked it, and never will. And i do take this a bit to heart, as i was raped. It is never funny nor fun to be raped. People should really think before they do things. Sigh

I personally can find just about anything funny, but some people do get offended by such things, within reason. And I can't say what the woman did was completely wrong, but like Stanhope says, she should know what kind of material a comedian will have prior to attending a show. Tosh does push the bounds. I would think someone attending his show would know that.
He could have made a better response though.
I pretty much completely agree with this Stanhope guy though.

It's rape, not murder.
We're all a "survivor" you freakin' goon. The difference is being able to let go of the past & move on with your life, or not. Clearly if you are gonna get all sensitive about it, you likely haven't moved on with your life. And are feeding into a touch of envy for those of us who have. It really is quite sad, & maybe you should take your own advise & seek therapy.

I normally am not offended by things, and I've been told that I have a great sense of humor. I find the weirdest things funny every now and then.
However, rape isn't funny. Ever. In any context. It's not something to joke around about because it's a serious matter.
