Sorry, but the movies like this are just to make money weather its the 1st or more of a group.
i have had real things happen to me that are paranormal but i've learned to live with them , have never been hurt.

Another case of 'too many sequels'. Though this time they were never that scary or even good for that matter, right from the start. ._.

Not really. Not anymore, at least. And no, PA4 wasn't the least bit scary. There were a few scenes that made me jump in my seat a little, but other than that... it's the same thing every movie.

It's a lame excuse for a scary movie. I think they just invite a bunch of wussies to do the commercials. Each one has either been boring or funny to me.

I love the Paranormal Activity movies. They show a dedication to slow and methodical pacing and establishment of atmosphere that few other modern movies have. The first one particularly joins "The Ring" as the only movies to ever make me stay creeped out long after the movie ended. The problem is that the movies rely heavily on the sense of total mystery and discovery. When you find that the flour that the husband left out revealed hoof prints, and when creepy, inexplicable burned pictures started showing up, the complete newness was terrifying. The sense of scale of the horror we were watching was driven home when the exorcist guy came over, and basically said, "Nope, I can deal with hauntings, but this is something profoundly different, you are screwed". But now, no matter how they pace it, it feels like we are just watching the episodic adventures of the same demon thing. It is now a known quantity, thanks to the previous movies. Theres no longer a good way to raise the stakes and keep tension high.

When the arrogant male lead starts prodding the entity, its no longer the believable act of a curious skeptic, it feels like when we want to yell at a stupid lead in a slasher flick. The explanations of why they have Cameras all over the place feel more and more forced, and mo...

When the arrogant male lead starts prodding the entity, its no longer the believable act of a curious skeptic, it feels like when we want to yell at a stupid lead in a slasher flick. The explanations of why they have Cameras all over the place feel more and more forced, and more like a gimmick that they need an excuse to include. It doesn't matter what they do, the monster is less scary with each movie. And this latest trailer looks like it is trying to be a bit more mainstream. Less pacing, more shock moments, and interjection of hot chicks. It feels less like a terrifying event that just happens to be caught on tape, and more like, well, a movie. It still looks fairly entertaining, but I feel like I will probably be able to watch this movie before bed without any terrible repercussions.

I liked the first one. It was everything The Blair Witch Project failed to deliver. But after that, the novelty of the "found footage" genre wears off. Then you are just watching a movie that looks like it was shot with a camcorder, wondering why they couldn't just make a real movie. The woman in the first movie however, was infinitely hot.

After paying to see the first two, I felt cheated, and thought it was more on the comedy side than terror, I refuse to watch the third nor will I watch the new one.

I'm only saying that they are okay. They took full advantage of their miniscule budget, so this is why I have to give them props. I learned how small their budget was on this site called Habidy. It's in its beginning stages, but I've been using it like crazy. Go to http://www.habidy.com, it's still in its beta phase so you will need this code– 10MEGX, to get in. Check it out.

Gives me a good laugh. Honestly, it was kind of a decent thing they had going at first. I thought they were pushing it a little when they made a second one, but now it just seems like they are just cashing in on the popularity just like Saw sequels.

OH My! The critics do not like a movie! That is just horrible! Meh. Good thing I do not care what the critics think about this movie! These movies scare me! It is the security camera idea that creeps me out! Something about using a security camera and catching all the action really gets to me..more like real life than shaky cam or green screen. You know those are created (yes I know the action in the security cameras are created) in the back of your mind, where the security camera angle overtakes that thought and makes it so scary!

...But I can't stop watching. Paranormal Activity 2 should have been called "The Pool Cleaner" It showed that damn thing every 5 minutes! It got more screen time than the "actors."

Those movies are the movie equivalent of the "ghoul face that pops up at the end and startles you" Youtube videos.

Um, that would be a definite no. from what I have seen, all they have been doing is remaking the orginal versions of the movie over and over again. And besides, even the "fresh" ideas are mediocre at best. I got pissed when they screwed around with one of my all-time favorite movies: "Silent Hill" apparently, they are making a fourth one, but I vow not to waste my money at the movie theatres.
