There was major drama at Miley Cyrus’ house last night. Following a 911 call a little before 7 p.m., police swarmed the pop star’s home in Studio City, California. They arrived at the property -- guns drawn -- in response to reports that the pop singer was the victim of an intruder and that there was a potential hostage situation. The first piece of good news was that the “Hannah Montana” star wasn’t home. And luckily the whole thing turned out to be a hoax.

The bad news is that it appears to be part of a new prank called “Swatting,” in which an anonymous caller reports a fabricated crime. According to officials, the joke can be extremely dangerous because when the police respond to a situation like a home intruder, they consider the circumstances extremely high risk -- hence the drawn guns on arrival.
It seems like the innocent days of Prince Albert in a can and refrigerators running are long gone. These elaborate schemes cost taxpayers money and might just put people’s lives at risk. Just imagine if Miley Cyrus, her fiancée Liam Hemsworth or some unsuspecting staffer was at the residence and had a run-in with the cops in question. What do you think: Was the swatting prank funny... or deadly?

Anyone pulling such a stupidity should be arrested and tried as a felon.
When an actual crime is committed, by an actual criminal - - Home Land Security, the FBI, and the CIA will disavow any knowledge the event ever happened, nor will they acknowledge they have any data on it.
Besides - - only HLS, the FBI and CIA are allowed access to the data and video collected by the national surveillance system. Public Law Enforcement is excluded from access.
And as for the danger? The idiots aren't very bright. If somebody were to get injured or killed because of this little "prank," guess who is going to get to pay for that in court. And then I doubt they'll think this is so funny anymore.
