The world’s biggest fan geek expo took over San Diego, California this weekend. As has become the custom, countless pop culture devotees descended on SoCal, many dressed up like their favorite superhero or sci-fi hottie. But beyond the enthusiasts, the 43rd Annual Comic-Con was also flooded with the requisite number of Hollywood heavyweights.

Comic-Con has expanded over the years from a fringe comic book convention to the place to be for studios who want to preview their upcoming blockbusters and the fans who love them. In addition to TV panels that featured everything from “Glee to “True Blood,” the big buzz was about the slew of high profile filmmakers who were sharing their projects to the masses.
As was expected, fans lined up overnight to get into “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2.” Zack Snyder showed footage from his darker-than-usual take on Superman called “Man of Steel.” Guillermo Del Toro gave a peak at his highly anticipated science fiction flick “Pacific Rim,” which pits monsters against robots. And Peter Jackson revealed what might be considered the Holy Grail of the whole event: a preview of “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.”
But perhaps most surprising of all was the excitement over Quentin Tarantino’s latest offering “Django Unchained.” The director has long been a darling of Comic-Con, but spaghetti westerns about slaves don't show up all that often in the illustrious showroom. Even for those who didn’t make the convention, word is spreading like wildfire about all these films. So we have to ask: Which upcoming blockbuster are you most excited about?

From the list it goes like this...
1.Hobbit
2.Django Unchained
3.Man of Steel
I don't care about the rest and never even heard of Pacific Rim...
That's one of the few series my family and I have gone to see every movie for it at the theatre... that and Pirates of the Caribbean and Harry Potter. Can't wait to go see it opening weekend for free.
...and just because:
I had cases of Superman (with everyone of the "Bizarro Superman comics) comics, whether in his own comic or guest appearances in others from 1955 until 1968. When my sister (younger) took over my room after I was drafted, she cleaned house to make room for her junk. The first time I came home on leave, there was almost sibling violence of the first order. I had two weeks, I stayed three days.
Even after 48 years I won't cross the street to see her. It's not all about the comics; she never thinks of anyone except herself and always needs something. Her last escapade with our Mom (embezzlement) tore the last line binding us together.
Man of Steel mostly; but I like the Hobbit too. And can I just say this Superman at the Comic Con is a little too happy about being in that suit.
