Fred Astair was a great dancer but lousy at everything else. He was unable to sing well and could not act his way out of a paper bag. I did not mind him being in movies but I hated it that they made him the leading man with the romance interest. Just not believable. The man was not good looking and was put with young women who were lovely. Whenever I see an old movie on TCM has Fred Astair in it I pass.
