If his mother's fame wasn't enough to land him a job after college, Cody Gifford, Kathie Lee Gifford's son, received an internship on NBC's "Today" show working on-air as a film critic.

The 20-year-old film student landed the unpaid internship thanks to his mother, who gleefully cheered via e-mail "I love nepotism!"

The "Today" show is the highest-rated morning show in the country. Don't you think it's a little unfair that Cody Gifford gets an internship on-air just because his mother is famous?

She is doing what anyone would do. Getting a break into some job field is many times about who you know. Staying in that field after that should be based on performance.

I'm ambivalent about nepotism. On one hand, I think it's normal to try to help those you care for. On the other hand, it's not fair to the other people.

has the right to look after her son. As to whether he deservs the internship, I'll watch how he does and make a decison as I would with anyone else.
