Coachella fans collectively breathed a sigh of relief on Friday when it was announced that the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival will remain in Indio, California. Goldenvoice had threatened to cancel the popular hipster mecca after a local lawmaker proposed a new tax that would cost the promoters an extra $6 million a year. After taking that into consideration and realizing the economic repercussions, the lawmaker rescinded his proposal.

For a few hours on Thursday it looked like the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival might leave its Indio, California, home before a councilman who proposed a new tax suspended the action.

Berlin Love Parade
In terms of size and amount of people the festival is technically the third biggest city in the south west of England. It's that big. But it's beautiful, with such an amazing atmosphere. It's the most amazing place in the world for me. It lasts 5 days, then it returns to being a cow farm. :)
