Coach Mike Sherman is OUT!! So who should replace him?

Dear Aggies and college football fans alike,

In case you haven't heard, Sherman got fired this evening.

This is an open discussion...
Who do you think should replace him?
Are you happy with the decision?
How will this affect how we play in the SEC?

Post anything, and everything. I want to hear your opinions.

I am surprised! I know they had issues in the second half in a lot of there games.

If this would have been a week earlier, I would have said Urban Meyer....and I would have done an even swap with Will Muschamp for Mike Sherman....lol

Maybe Houston Nutt? He was good with Arkansas (not good with Ole Miss). Maybe Ron Zook or Mike Stoops!?

I wanted Urban Meyer too!! But he's apparently taken now..? Not sure when that happened.....I should probably watch the news more often.

I heard something about a coach from UH or another guy from Ohio State....I can't remember their names at the moment :/

But I still want Urban Meyer. Haha!

....lol...would have given him to you. He left us for health issues, then commentated college football (for less than a year),.

Now he took the Ohio State job.....lol...watch news more...it's ok...What's UH? Yeah, no chance for Urban!

Regarding Sherman leaving, yeah, 6-6 and a loss to the Horns doesn't cut it. Mike Stoops would be interesting. He hasn't been exceptional at Arizona though. I wonder if Kirby Smart would consider it. Kevin Sumlin?

I think it all depends on the team though. The Aggies have the players, they just need a coach to help them reach their full potential. I honestly think Sherman was too conservative of a coach to survive in the SEC.

I don't know about Nutt, seeing what happened to Ole Miss this season....but I think Stoops would do a good job.

And if it weren't for all the uproar it would cause, Joe Paterno would be an amazing coach to have.....even though I, along with half of America, am not his biggest fan at the moment :/

Houston Nutt, hmm, I don't know. Paterno won't be coaching again. I'm sure the Ags would love to have the Boise coach, Peterson, but I doubt he'd leave.
