Claire Danes just announced that she and her husband Hugh Dancy are expecting baby #1. The pair, who met on the set of “Evening” and married in 2009, have seemed to be following the “normal” trajectory for a couple. Find out more about the celeb baby news in the video below!
Sure, the relationship began when Danes cheated on then-beau Billy Crudup with Dancy, but that was pure karma since Crudup left his preggo girlfriend Mary Louise Parker with Danes. But despite this rocky start, Danes and Dancy dated for a respectable amount of time before tying the knot and now have waited a few years before starting a family. No shotgun weddings, no babies born out of wedlock and no record-setting divorce filings.
Aside from the Crudup hiccup, it seems Danes has managed to transition from child star to adult actress without any signs of DUIs, drug smugglings or court hearings. Professionally, she’s smoothly morphed from “My So-Called Life’s” Angela Chase to “Homeland’s” Carrie Mathison without so much as a blip on her radar. And in an industry where the Linsday Lohans and Jody Sweetins are constantly front-page news, it’s refreshing to see that some have made it through unscathed.
Danes is not the only actress to step into adult roles without suffering the public failures of the pressure. Natalie Portman, burst onto the scene in “Leon: The Professional” at the age of 13 and in 2011 took home both an Oscar and a bouncing baby boy with fiancé, ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied. And in spite of rumors of a secret marriage, the couple just reportedly announced plans to wed in August 2012.
Another actress who avoided the drama that typically follows child stardom is Anna Paquin, who won an Oscar at age 11 and married her “True Blood” co-star Stephen Moyer in 2010. They will become parents of twins for the first time this fall. And Sarah Jessica Parker, who went from “Annie” to “Sex in the City,” stayed out of trouble and settled down with actor Matthew Broderick in 1997 and had three children. What do you think: Who is the most normal child star?

I grew up with her and she has yet to disappoint me like all the other television icons in my life have.
Actors should "shut up and act" not tout a political agenda.
That being said their opinions carry no more weight than anyone else's.
I've always liked Danica McKellar.
none of these even rises to the top....IMO....
Shirley Temple Black.....iconic film star........singer, dancer, actress...in some of the most respected films of all times.....married to same man for 54 years before his death....children....United States ambassador several times....served under both Republican and Democratic presidents....
that seems the most normal to me....
