Despite proclaiming "You're never gonna keep me down," 1990's one-hit wonder Chumbawamba has broken up, reports Rolling Stone. You gotta hand it to them though, the British band has been together for 30 years, which is a really long time for having only one successful single ("Tubthumping.")

However, in their announcement they did add that they "reserve the right to re-emerge as Chumbawamba," so maybe we'll see them "get up again" sometime in the future. For now, I've got to ask: Is "Tubthumping" by Chumbawamba your favorite 1990's one-hit wonder song? Or do you prefer another classic like "Nothing Compares 2 U" or "I'm Too Sexy"?

wth! first of all the "pope" is not even close to being like Jesus. he is more like a catholic celebrity. it was a picture she ripped, that caused such havoc? what about their nasty child abuses going on at the time covered up by the popes and other ringleaders...then again people were so gullable back then.

You don't know much about Pope John Paul II do you. If you did, you would understand why people threw her cd's out in the street and used pavers to crush them. While she was a missguided young girl trying to make a statement, that was not the way to do it. I guarantee she regrets it everyday and not because she lost her fame.

she pissed them off. alot of people kept listening to her (myself included) but theres always gonna be an uproar when someone does something like that. I know what you mean though.

Shoot, I hadn't even looked at the entire list yet and accidentally clicked. Duh. However, I have a classic story about them. When my younger daughter was in junior high, her principal wanted the school chorus to sing "I Get Knocked Down" until he was informed that the words were "pissin' the night away" and NOT "kissin' the night away." LOL!
