Chuck Norris believes gay people have NO PLACE in the Boy Scouts of America ... and claims plans to overturn the "century-old policy" to ban them is simply un-American.
Chuck
-- an outspoken Republican political activist -- just penned an article
for AmmoLand.com ... titled, "Is Obama Creating a Pro-Gay Boy Scouts of
America?"
In the article, Norris attacks James Turley
-- a high ranking BSA official who recently announced his plan to "seek
a change" to a Boy Scouts policy that bans gay Scouts and gay Scout
leaders.
72-year-old Norris suggests Turley is only championing
the cause because he's trying to curry favor with Obama's "pro-gay"
administration.
Norris talks about the Boy Scouts as epitomizing the best of America. The insinuation ... that gays don't.

boy scouts don't allow atheist or gays
the Supreme Court affirmed the right of the Boy Scouts of America to expel openly gay leaders and members;
It is because the Boy Scouts is a Christian organization. Part of their Oath is ".....I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law...." If a child doesn't acknowledge he/she is an Atheist, there is no ban against them. Like any non-profit organization, they are allowed to have whatever rules they desire, as long as they fall within certain guidelines, one being "Not for Profit."
Scout Oath
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
Scout Law
A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
Spirituality has been an integral part of the international Scouting movement since its inception. As early as 1908, Scouting founder Robert Baden-Powell wrote in the first Scout handbook that, "No man is much good unless he believes in God and obeys His laws."[5]
Religious organizations host/sponsor over 60% of the approximately 123,000 Scouting units in the United States and use the Scouting program as part of their youth ministration.[6...

Religious organizations host/sponsor over 60% of the approximately 123,000 Scouting units in the United States and use the Scouting program as part of their youth ministration.[6][7] Officials from various religious organizations—including the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon), Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, and Presbyterian churches—are included on the BSA National Executive Board, its Advisory Council, and the BSA Religious Relationships Committee.
In reciting the Scout Oath, Scouts promise to be morally straight and to do their duty to God; the Scout Law holds that a Scout is clean and reverent. As early as 1978, the Boy Scouts of America circulated a memorandum among national executive staff stating that they held it was not appropriate for homosexuals to hold leadership positions in BSA.[8] Similarly, since at least 1985, the BSA has interpreted the Scout Oath and Law as being incompatible with agnosticism and atheism.[9] In both instances, the organization asserted that it was not a new policy to oppose and disfavor atheism, agnosticism and homosexuality; and, in support of that, to deny membership to atheists and agnostics, and to deny leadership roles to and occasionally expel "avowed" homosexual persons — rather, the BSA argued it was just enforcing long-held policies which had never been published or publicly challenged.[8][10]

And FYI to those against LGBTQ in any way: By showing our young folks from the very beginning of life to treat EVERYONE including LGBTQ EQUALLY will not make them gay... Many young folks today already accept LGBTQ, have no problem with those who are... and guess what? It doesn't automatically make them gay... Sure, some may be... but, knowing about it and accepting it as a part of life didn't make those who are LGBTQ that way... it's the way they were born...

Is this the very same Christianity that teaches tolerance, acceptance and love thy neighbor and do unto others, and all that good stuff?
I am against big government, and against so much government interference and regulation and all... I am all for individual freedoms and rights... and if the Boy Scouts wants to refuse to allow LGBTQ into their ranks, that's up to them whether I agree or disagree... personally, I think it's pure BS... But they are a private organization as you say... but, I think our government contributing, backing and supporting such private organizations who refuse equality across the board should be stopped completely... (and yes, the U.S. Government does support and promote such organizations as the Boy Scouts of America... that backing should be pulled immediately if said organization does not support equality as "guaranteed" by the Constitution and Bill of Rights...)...
But, all of that said, this country supports equality 250% (except in the case of those groups or individuals that it deems not worthy of being treated equal...)
love they neighbor is true but you don't have to love sin. yes homosexuality is a sin,
old testement calls it an abomination before god. the scout have had a long standing pledge with God and purity etc since 1906. they say you cant take the pleadge and then be gay or an atheist cause you don't belive in the pledge. plus 60% of bsa is christian organizations. they it doent meet with their rules. atheist don't believe in god.
