Christina Aguilera Arrested: Is She the Next Britney/Lohan/Sheen?

Things just keep getting worse for Christina Aguilera. From botching the National Anthem at the Super Bowl to her divorce from Jordan Bratman, the once-admired singer's career is circling the drain at an impressive rate.

Her latest misadventure involved boyfriend Matthew Rutler, who was pulled over in West Hollywood at 2:45 Tuesday morning for driving drunk, according to TMZ.

Rutler was arrested for a misdemeanor DUI and set at $5,000 bail. TMZ reports that he blew a .09 on the Breathalyzer test, just over the legal limit of .08.

Aguilera, who was with him, was arrested because she was "extremely intoxicated" and unable to take care of herself.

According to TMZ, friends and family have been trying to get Aguilera into rehab recently, to no avail.

She was charged with public intoxication, but according to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, "If the driver had not been arrested for DUI, she would have never been in trouble."

According to officials, Aguilera will not be prosecuted.

    Unlike the others Christina has a support system behind her which she respect and loves. I think she will soon be over this down fall and be back on her feet in no time. A crazy Britney or a loser crazy drunk like Lohan or sheen she will never, ever be. Christina has more class then that.

    Hell no!! This womans got class! Shes got talent, and people love her! Every girl needs a little party night, it was just a mistake on her part to turn it public. But she'll be back with a vengance:) Shes a leader! and i dont ever see her following in brittany or lohans footprints.

    I hope not she is very talented, I mean true she has been messing up a couple of things like the national anthem and then she fell off the stage at that grammys and now she's getting arrested...IDK whats going on but I don't think she'll be as bad as they are. She has a kid to be a role model for.

    which celeb has not been arrested till now? I wonder why some people want to make a scene out of it. I'm sure she'll be back and strong and most importantly she's got her family to support her whom she respects and cares for unlike Lohan and Spears.
