That poor woman. The word consensual is misleading. Ms. Phillips did not have the psyche of an adult at the time that her father took advantage of her. He taught her how to shoot up when she was only eleven years old. They got high together for years. People who blame her and call her a "sicko" have no idea what was going on in her head. The first time it happened, she woke up to her father having sex with her. That is not consensual, it is rape. She may have agreed to the relationship thereafter, but it was in no way the same as a truly consensual relationship. It was coercion. She desperately wanted for her father to love her. I am amazed that she is doing as well as she is today, that she didn't wind up dead.
There is, in truth, no such thing as a consensual parent-child sexual relationship. No matter how old the child is, it is still a power-over-other relationship to a degree. It would have to be an exceedingly dysfunctional relationship in the first place for such a thing to ever occur.

And John Mayer... Not shocking, but that's just plain creeperish.
At least Heche went nuts and created a way to deal with it.
Everyone grew up with Arnold- imitating his accent, pretending to be Terminator, etc. that it came as a blow that he had CHEATED and had a CHILD with his HOUSEKEEPER.
I'm still hoping his gayness is a phase... Cuz I would soooo be all over that boy!
