This is turning out to be quite the year for 28-year-old Chris Hemsworth! "The Avengers" smashed box office records and "Snow White and the Huntsman" is on track to open well in June, but most importantly the Aussie actor got to witness the birth of his firstborn child.

Hemsworth and his 35-year-old wife Elsa Pataky, a Spanish actress, confirmed to USA Today that their daughter was born on Friday in London. The couple, who married in December 2010, decided to name their baby girl India Rose Hemsworth.

"We love the country and love the name," Hemsworth told USA Today.

India may not be named after her mother’s homeland (Spain), but Pataky is determined that her daughter will learn to speak her native tongue. When the couple announced their pregnancy in January, Pataky told Hola! magazine, “I’m only going to speak to the baby in Spanish. I already told my husband, ‘Get ready fast with Spanish because, if not, you’re not going to be able to understand what we say.’”

It's actually an adorable name, I love it! It's not weird at all, unlike "Annoyingly Hollywood" names such as Audio Science, Diva Muffin, Piolet Inspecktor, and Moxie CrimeFighter.. I mean who name's their child something so ridiculous like those names!
