Chris Carpenter's talent is undeniable. He started off the season by going 1-0 and pitching 10 scoreless innings. However, I think we can official label him as injury prone. Since winning the NL Cy Young award in 2005, Chris Carpenter has barely played in any games due to shoulder and elbow injuries. This season, the St. Louis Cardinals ace tore his left oblique muscle and will miss 4 to 8 weeks.
