  2. Charlie Sheen

    Charlie Sheen

Sheen told NBC's Jeff Rossen that he's "tired of pretending I'm not total freakin' rock star from Mars" -- and basically came off as a total freakin' rock star from Mars.

  3. Tom Cruise

    Tom Cruise

A month after he jumped on Oprah's couch, Cruise freaked out on Matt Lauer over Brooke Shields' use of anti-depressants. He later apologized.

  4. Joaquin Phoenix

    Joaquin Phoenix

In 2009, Phoenix grew a beard, made a strange appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman" and "retired" from acting to become a rapper. The "meltdown," however, wound up to be a fake.

  5. Whitney Houston

    Whitney Houston

Houston's firm declaration during a 2002 Diane Sawyer interview that "crack is cheap -- I make too much money to ever smoke crack; we don't do crack" -- only made her seem more like a drug abuser.

  6. Billy Bob Thornton

    Billy Bob Thornton

In 2009, Thornton went stone cold on a Canadian radio host for introducing him as an actor when the appearance was meant to promote his electric hillbilly band.

  7. Paula Abdul

    Paula Abdul

The then-"Idol" host fed right into rumors that she had a drug problem when she was totally "off" during a live satellite interview. She later said that she had two TV stations asking her questions in her earpiece.

Needless to say, Chris Brown did not enjoy his appearance on "Good Morning America" on Tuesday.

Brown, 21, was apparently so agitated after Robin Roberts asked him about his infamous attack on ex-girlfriend Rihanna that he stormed into his dressing room (after performing his hit single "Yeah 3X") and smashed a window -- sending glass falling onto the streets below.

Things must have gotten so heated (inside his head) that he bolted without his shirt on.

sending shards glass falling streets times square stormed building shirtless

ABC says it will not press any charges against the singer, who is still on probation for the 2009 assault, TMZ.com reported.

In fact, Roberts would "love to have another chat with him," and "Good Morning America" has already invited him back to the show.

"I wish him the absolute best," Roberts said on "GMA" Wednesday morning. "We extended the invitation to him [to come back], and sure hope he takes us up on it."

That said, Roberts says she was "shocked" by Brown's wild behavior.

"Any time we have a guest, we let them know ahead of time the subject matter and the topics. And even right before the interview I let him know," Roberts said. "I was shocked like everyone else, because we've had a wonderful relationship."

Brown's temper tantrum was pretty bad, but was it worse than Tom Cruise's freak-out on the "Today" show?

I'd get annoyed too. I mean come on, like thats all you need to bring up. Its about the album not what I did..go back then and talk about it. Its fine now. Let it go. lol. I'd say, yes I made a mistake in my life..lets get past it. Chris brown stuff btw.

and I guess Charlie Sheen isn't getting enough money, 2 million people. Remember its not a lot. Anyone making two million a season is getting underpaid.

I chose Chris, not because of what happened but I feel that it was GMA'S fault!! I think they lied to him about that particular question, and maybe Robin was unaware of it!! She probably didn't want to ask. The next day after talking about it,even she said it was TIME to move on!!! This happened two years ago, don't get me wrong because I don't condone violence!! He was their to promote his new album,F.A.M.E.,(FORGIVING ALL MY ENEMIES)! Isn't that's what we all suppose to do?Makes me wonder why GMA DIDN'T PRESS CHARGES AND INVITED HIM BACK!!! There are people that will never let him live this down!! He payed his dues,(MONEY)that's all they wanted, not caring about RHINNA,(because if they did,he'd be in jail) did his community service and worst of all, lost his girl!! So I say to you Chris Brown, you have Hatters, that's their job! Don't stop them! Let them do their job! Let them HATE!! We all have them! I'm just trying to figure out how to get ten more before the SUMMER gets here!! LOL!! :-)

I picked Billy-Bob Thornton since he said the word "sh*t" but I dont really see any of these as actual "melt-downs". I side with most of these celebrities in that they're put on parade in front of these people interviewing them who are total idiots. Matt Lauer seemed like he was there to debate rather than interview Tom Cruise. Charlie Sheen seemed reasonable in the point of his answeres even though his language was a bit colorful. Whitney Houston was presented with a bunch of heresay and non-statements and she's expected to respond with something other than "no, no, and no". David Letterman looked like the fool, not Juaqin Phoeinix. It's the interviewer who has the privelage of having these celebrities as "guests", not vice versa. If someone asked me to be a guest on their show and then started to be insulting or make fun of me, I'd just do exactly what juaqin phoenix did and just sit there and make Letterman's interview turn to mush on his own show. It's the interviewer that should have had some interesting questions rather than just throwing a bunch of tabloid crap at them and expecting some big revaluation. I wouldn't really classify any of these interviews as a "melt-down" per se. Just people trying to make it through painful interviews by ridiculously stupid interviewers.

Chris Brown is the worst because his is fueled by just plain meanness. Others can be blamed on drugs or stupidity. Not Chris, he has no excuse.

"You don't know it like I do!"

Interrupting and insulting a host is not a good thing to do when you're on a show that is being watched by many people. Tom Cruise is just such a jerk and should have his mouth stitched shut.

GMA anchor Robin Roberts really owes Chris Brown an apology. --She was trying to get him upset. And though he got upset, I don't feel that he lost it, in the least.

I don't defend what Chris Brown did two years ago and would never want him dating a daughter of mine, but clearly he was on GMA to promote a new album, not to have some woman try to get him angry, so that her ratings could go up.

    Shame on her.

Well, you should hear some of the rap lyrics we do when we get in customer cars, UGH, they use the most graphic and explicit language, xrated stuff and foul, foul language and these people have kids in their cars while listening to this junk. No wonder there is a lack of respect for others and women.

First and foremost,We are our children first teachers, and yes children will mimick what they see and hear!! They are like sponges and will soak up everything. It is up to us to monitor whay we say around them also! We don't have to let them listen to Rap!! When they reach that age,it is up to them what they want to listen to!
