Charlie Sheen Says He Was in 'Denial' About Meltdown: Genuine or Just Wants Press?

It's going to be pretty tough for audiences to distance Charlie Sheen's 2011 meltdown from his new series, "Anger Management," but he's going to have to try. The studio's got a lot of money riding on that show. So Sheen is doing a little bit of damage control by getting candid about what he calls a "psychotic break." Watch the video below for some classic excuses.



Sheen told Playboy, "I started to unravel. I finally just said things I had always been thinking. But in the middle of a psychotic break ... It was surreal. And it never occurred to me where this was going to end up or how it was going to be perceived ... How do you go from making Oliver Stone movies to being in a feud with warlocks?" Do you think Sheen's embarrassment over his meltdown is genuine -- or is he just looking for press?

    No no no... not to my knowledge at least. I just meant I've done on major benders and "meltdowns" while in complete denial only to later be "enlightened" to my reality.

    It was a psychotic break helped on by drugs and alcohol. He probably has no real idea of how he really behaved and talked. He just wants to go back to work. Its up to the public if they want to watch him.

    Charlie Sheen is a attention seeker and a drug addict,there's nothing genuine about that. He's been in deinal half of his life,as many meltdowns he have had he should be some "Mush" by now!

    He's just being a media whore for his new show ! His, I'm sure, insane pay is probably linked to ratings. FX figured the show would fly or flop, one of the two. They didn't want to be stuck with a flop so they put in his contract that if he does not achieve a certain level of ratings then he doesn't get big bonus !!
