charlie has been "genuine" many times. At least to him it is. Keep him off of drugs and alcohol for a year and we'll see if he can speak.

I chose 'genuine' because I suppose he is 'sincerely' being Charlie Sheen, doing and saying things that he understands work.
This even includes 'wanting press' and this is something where he has grown up in a world where that IS an actual routine part of his life, identity, business.

In a real way I can't blame him for anything. He grew up a 'Hollywood Royal' and could not possibly have had a chance to be 'normal'. He thinks sleeping with two porn stars is 'good' and cocaine is a 'work tool' and t-shirts with your catchphrases are worthwhile and so on.
Then again, his brother Emilio would have grown up the same way with the same skewed strange life. And Emilio seems (as far as I can tell) to be a very normal guy, a nice man and seems very polite.

I can care less if he's genuine or not. He's entertaining, and I like it. That's all that matters to me.

I can only imagine that when you are lost in meth, coke , and porn star loving.....you could fail to see anything but the next line, pipe...sexual act . Is that an excuse? No, but it could happen to any guy with a big ego, and bank account to match.

I feel he knows he has to save his a__ . I was enjoying the original "Two and a Half", did not like seeing him flip out. It appears he does have problems, but I do hope that he can possibly get past it.

Well, let's see...when he went psycho he divided the audiences and lost his hit show.

He has a new show coming out that, considering all, will probably be the last thing he does and I'm sure he's not the only one that wants it to be a huge success. He has to win back those who won't even tune in out of morbid curiosity, so publicly making amends and admitting wrongs is a good way to do that.
