Charlie Sheen Pays for Pap’s Funeral: Is He Overly Generous?

Charlie Sheen has been doing a lot of damage to his bad boy image in the last few weeks by being extremely generous to those in need. The latest recipient of his altruism is the family of the paparazzi that was killed while photographing Justin Bieber’s Ferrari on January 1.

In the wake of the tragic accident, the loved ones of Chris Guerra began raising funds to cover the photographer’s funeral expenses. Sheen caught wind of the story through a friend and donated the entire $12,000 amount to the family. He told TMZ, “It's an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future."

This comes on the tail of “The Anger Management” star's generous $100,000 gift to Lindsay Lohan to help bail her out of her tax problems. He also cut a $75,000 check for a little girl in Hermosa Beach, California, who is battling cancer to help cover her medical costs. Charlie better watch out or people might start to think he could be a nice guy. Other more cynical types think he’s got something to prove and are suspicious of his motives. What do you think: Is Charlie Sheen overly generous?

His kindess and generosity to others is a wonderful character trait.
He should be commended for this and no one should be second guessing his motives people who do, are most likely cynical types to begin with and will always look for an ulterior motive.

There's nothing wrong with giving to others. He knows he has more than enough money, so why not use some of it to benefit others who helped him get it.

He has a long history of sincere generosity with his time and money. There were many people in his life that helped and supported him, especially when he faced cruel criticism and illness. I wonder how many others he has helped, that I know nothing about?

Charlie Sheen doesn't kick a man when he's down, he gives him a helping hand.

My only question is why he isn't giving $12K to the person driving the SUV? Anyone that caps one of these dirtbags deserves a reward and a medal as well.

Because...the person driving the SUV doesn't have family that is trying to raise money for a funeral?

He conflicted - he wants to be good, but can't afford to be a decent human being. His charity is all over the board - just like he is. He's having trouble just being human, but he found a way to get in the papers.

Can he pay for it? If so then he deserves it. He sucks as an entertainer but if people pay him to entertain them and he has the money what he does with it is his business. But I do have one question: since when did Ferrari put training wheels on their cars?

I wish there were no options here...but for now I will say that it was a nice thing to do for the family not a fan of CS but at least he's not snorting up his money.

The man has made some major bad mistakes but I think it's time to leave him alone. why are people so judgmental?

Charlie may have issues, but I mean really, who among us don't? He may be a bad boy but he has a heart of gold. I have known some very wealthy people who were nothing but selfish and looked down their noses at anyone who did not have money. Truly Charlie has been a blessing to those he has helped and I admire him for that!

Another option would have been nice, because I can't say for sure that Charlie Sheen is being overly generous. Perhaps there is something driving Charlie to do nice things, he deserves to be given the benefit of the doubt.
