That's the only movie I've ever walked out on. It was really bad.

I wish i had of done the same!!!!!!!!!!!! It was so boring and once Channing stripped i had to listen to a whole bunch of screaming women ( and i'm female myself) and i just thought so what? A bare bum? whooppeee do?? I rate this movie a ZERO for crappiness and just as well you walked out because THE ENDING SUCKED SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!! and i thought that's it?? That's the ending?????..what a waste of my time and money!

I do not think this has anything to do with the movie. The Chip-n-Dales have been around for decades and if they were the ones opening a bar, women would be flooding in. It was classy and sexy.

In my opinion, the movie was far from classy it was cheap, tacky and it was about as sexy as a toad. I don't agree with you at all about an opening of a bar being called Chip and Dale because not every woman would attend that sort of event and not every woman is into stripping.

Apparently you have never been to a Chip-n-Dale show. It was not about stripping at all. It was classy, it was entertaining and it was does professionally.
My mother and aunt went at the age of 73 and I escorted them. We had a blast.

Whatever floats your boat. I'm young and i have no interest in a stripping bar. I don't know what Chip-n- Dale show is? I just know the name is enough to turn me away! The only Chip n Dale i've heard of is the cartoon show that i will watch with my sister on a cold rainy day.

Chip-n-Dale's is a strip bar that is very famous in Vegas. It is not like a typical strip bar and focuses on dancing to provocative music with no shirt. All class, no ass.

I still wouldn't go. It ain't my bag...

If you are not interested in stripping then why did you go to Magic Mike? Did you really think it was going to be a deep interesting movie about deep intersting charaters? I actually thought it was an okay movie and getting to see Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello almost naked was just icing on the cake.

I went to see the movie because i had nothing to see the night i went out. When i asked about the movie they told me it was a "COMEDY" so i went and it turns out it wasn't funny, entertaining or interesting....it was just pure SMUTT. You're a bloke, what the hell are you doing seeing a movie about men stripping??? That's the funniest thing i've ever heard.

So where the hell in Australia do you live that you haven't heard of gay men? I know there are plenty of us down under. Not to be insulting but you must not get out very often. Maybe it was different there but here they were plastering t.v. and the internet with ads for Magic Mike for two months before it came out. Maybe you don't watch a lot of t.v. or use much social media? And that isn't necessaritly a bad thing by any means. Sorry you felt you were misled and wasted your money. I actually didn't think this movie was all that smutty, comparitively speaking. I think striptease was far more full of gratuitious nudity and smut than this one. But that is just a matter of personal opinion.

No i don't get out very often at all. I do watch t.v but not a whole lot ,and yes i do use some social media it's just that i don't go looking for a movies about strippers or anything!. I did see one preview for Magic Mike and i didn't want to see the movie but it just so happened when i went out to catch a movie they didn't have a whole lot on and i couldn't just go home because i don't live five minutes away from the destination i was at! Also when i asked about the movie, they told me it was funny,comedy like and that i would enjoy it!! Thanks! I did feel very mislead and yes i wasted my money...but at least you enjoyed the movie and that's all that counts:-) Yes also you are right liking this movie is a matter of personal opinion, and not to many people understood mine!

Oh no offense taken. I am from a pretty rural area of the United States and the openly gay population is pretty small around here. Didn't even figure things out or at least admit to myself or know any other gay men until I was 35. Guess I thought you would have assumed I was gay or at least bisexual based on my comment about it being a bonus to see the guys nearly naked. But it is all good. And you are perfectly entitled to your opinion and not to like the movie. Not everybody is going to like the same things and that is a good thing otherwise the world would be a very boring place. Although lately, I think the world could do with a shot of boredom but I guess my view on the problem isn't that people like or believe different things. The problem is people can't seem to accept that other people may not agree with them on politics, religion, entertainment, etc.

So to sum this u went to a movie that advertised solely on stripping men and then got upset becuz all the movie had was stripping men. You refuse to go watch a show with stripping men but u went to go see a movie about stripping men. I agree with you! The only thing decent about the main girl character was -- she didn't strip.

It was Art House, which is primarily what Steven Soderbergh directs. Sometimes gritty tales of real people in real life situations. Sex, Lies and Videotape; Solaris, Traffic, Che, even the Ocean's 11 or 12, whichever he directed, etc. If you know the Director at all, it is a character study that he seems to like, not plot or action. As that, it was spot on. I think it threw people off because Channing is a big box office star, and they expected some of the same. But so is Clooney, so people hated Solaris. The director and characters are important in Art House, not the star and often the plot is off timing and odd, and usually not neatly wrapped up. The Wrestler is one of the few that seemed to satisfy both styles of viewers.
