CBS recently lost a legal battle with ABC after alleging that the network's new series "The Glass House" was a rip-off of "Big Brother." Instead of getting mad, CBS got even with a fake press release announcing a "Dancing With the Stars" spoof called "Dancing on the Stars." The premise is simple: Contestants participate in a dance-off at the Hollywood Forever cemetery, where stars like Peter Lorre and Janet Gaynor are buried.
When reached for comment, a spokesperson said, "This very creative enterprise will bring a new sense of energy and fun that’s totally unlike anything anywhere else, honest. Given the current creative and legal environment in the reality programming business, we're sure nobody will have any problem with this title or our upcoming half-hour comedy for primetime, Postmodern Family ... After all, people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."

shows that society has taken a big turn backwards ..
towards regression ..
for no one needs .. ugh .. indecency .. to be 'entertaining' ..
there's a lot to be said for the HUMOR .. the great Comedians of the PAST ..
I don't see it as 'progress' .. (it truly is regressive)
but then again ..
MANNERS are not seen as much either nowadays ..
those were prime times for the FAMILY To sit down .. eat dinner ... share FAMILY togetherness .. (and clean up afterwards!)
I know what my Grands would say .. my Parents would say .. and take that with a grain of salt ..
they came from a different nation .. a different culture ..
and knew what it was to live with .. NOTHING ..
(and I DO MEAN NOTHING .. they lived through the Great Depression .. and knew Hunger intimately .. as well as other forms of deprivation).
So I don't condemn them for what they said/endured ..
I remember the positives .. focus on that indeed ..
I am sick of watching 80's reruns and the Disney channel.
Good come back CBS
Though I'm not sure that it should be against the law for other channels to copy the show ideas anyway. It's already been happening with Storage Wars, Auction Hunters, and Storage Hunters and the various hoarding shows.
If someone else can do the same thing and improve on it and change it a little, I think that should be allowed. Though I'm not sure what the limit would be and I'm not super strong on that opinion.
