Catherine Zeta-Jones Set for 'Rock of Ages': Will She Be a Good Addition?

E! reports that "Rock of Ages" director Adam Shankman not only signed Oscar-winning actress Catherine Zeta-Jones on for the musical adaptation, but they created a role just for her.

"She's the villain who is out to stop rock 'n' roll from poisoning Los Angeles," Shankman tells me. "If Tipper Gore and Anita Bryant had a love child, it would be this woman."

"Rock of Ages" will be based on the 2006 "jukebox musical" of the same name, featuring glam rock hits of the '80s by groups like Styx and Poison.
