But usually I can understand what their saying.
Some I can understand after I read the lyrics.

It depends. I prefer more of a growl, ya know, lower pitched, and more rumblyish, but yeah, screams are fun. I like to have the lyrics to read just incase I can't understand. But that's only if the lyrics are good. Some screaming/growling bands have incredible lyrics, and it's such a shame people can't understand them.. but then again, some have really shitty non-creative, non-symbolic, non-good lyrics... like... "DIEMOTHERFUCKER DIEMOTHERFUCKER"... that's just dumb. ish. kinda. ice cream

sometimes, but other times i have to rewind, or view their lyrics. LOL....... first time i heard a song screamed, was at six flags. they were tone deaf, until i found what song they were singing and i thought cool.

It gets easier the more you listen to a specific genre and band. Sometimes I have to look up the lyrics not because of screaming but because of the way they sing. Marylin Manson is a great example. Love him though.

and sometimes they are like singing too hard in the mic. that you cant understand it at all,it doesn't even sound like a scream,just nonsense.

but im not afraid to admit that most of the time,no,and i hate it because i like to feel the music and lyrics and when i have no idea what they are saying and i just love the music,it is not enough,its quite frustrating to have to go and look them up,and the worst is when you look them up and they are crap,no meaning,nothing,just cursing or some crazy crap like that,i hate that.

most of the times but sometimes people try to understand what the singer is saying but he (or she) is really not saying anything. sometimes a scream is just that. a scream.
