Can You Say Something Nice About Someone You Don't Like?

Many have speculated that the highly publicized “American Idol” feud between judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj was just a publicity stunt. But at this week's Television Critics Association panel for the show, FOX President of Alternative Entertainment Mike Darnell said there was nothing fake about their animosity.
Still, the two divas kissed and made up on stage at the TCA’s. One journalist in attendance asked the two judges to set aside their differences and say one nice thing about the other.
Minaj took the first step and said she’s always admired Carey and that “She's really shaped a generation of singers.” Carey, became flustered and stalled for time to think up a compliment for her nemesis.
And then, in true Mariah fashion, praised her own song that she and Minaj did as a duet in 2010, early on in Nicki’s career. Mariah mustered up, “I did feel that she was going to go very far and still have that feeling.” Maybe she didn’t get the memo that Minaj is already a success.
Still, it’s not an easy thing to find flattering words for someone you so strongly disagree with. Can you say something nice about someone you don't like?

She never lets anyone brings her down, and will find a positive side to everything.
On an unrelated subject, Nicki looks hot here, but Mariah... that dress is not doing her any favors. I'd rather talk fashion-- give that dress sleeves and a scoopneck and it would look better with the pearls.
