Can Pretty Girls Be Funny? (Joseph Gordon-Levitt Thinks They 'Usually' Aren't)

Truth is they USUALLY aren't. The reason is because many guys will laugh at any joke a pretty girl makes, so it's not really their fault that they have no idea what is and isn't funny.

They're not making jokes to impress guys.

I never once said they were making the joke to impress the guys, I was actually saying about the opposite (that guys laugh to try and impress the pretty girls).

I think by "pretty" he means the snobby, self centered pretty girls then maybe. But just regular mellow pretty girls then of course.

Okay, well there's not a good option for my opinion, but whatever. Yes, there are pretty girls who are genuinely funny, but others that are pretty stupid and just don't get it. And then there are the actresses who get paid to be funny. Yes, some of them actually are funny, but then there are those who get their funny from the script they're reading. So this question isn't really meant for a flat yes or no, it's some are and some aren't.
Like the receptionist on Parks and Recreations, she's not funny. She's pretty, she's cute, but she's not funny. She get's her "funny" from a script, then anything else she does, she's in that character, and it's so annoying.
Or Zooey DesChanel, she does the same thing, she's this "quirky hot chick" on camera, then takes it with her off camera. It's very unappealing.
