Whoops! Actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is in hot water with the ladies after telling actress Emily Blunt, "Pretty girls aren't usually funny." "The Dark Knight Rises" actor Gordon-Levitt, 31, meant it as a compliment to Blunt, with whom he co-stars in the upcoming sci-fi thriller "Looper." But Josh Dickey of Variety, who tweeted from the Comic-Con panel where Gordon-Levitt made the faux pas, said Blunt "bristled" at the remark.

Looks like Gordon-Levitt has always had his share of trouble with the ladies. He tells the August issue of GQ that he never attended his high school prom. "I was a sort of serious little dude -- snobby. I thought girls my age were very frustrating," he says. "They were, like, looking in their compact mirrors and sh-t, and I thought that was evil." Do you think he's right about pretty girls not "usually" being funny? Or is it a blanket statement to end all blanket statements?

Of course some pretty girls are, but now that I think about it, they usually aren't. I find that a lot of girls I know that are considered "pretty" don't seem to feel like they actually have to make an effort to be interesting. They just kind of sit around acting..well...pretty. Around guys especially; as if they have to live up to being pretty.
By no means is that always true, but it's an interesting concept to ponder.

It is possible, but usually to be an actor/actress you should have some sort of humor-ability. In real life maybe it's a bit fewer, but maybe I just don't know them well enough.

I also think what he said was pretty harmless.

Well, what I think is - pretty girls may care about their appearance and they may not act funny since most of the funny actions are not that pretty! Hahaha, but it's always surprise and nice that to find out pretty girls are funny, I'll think they are cute too =）

If you're a pretty girl, most likely you won't have to be "funny" or have any special traits for people to like you. Of course there will be exceptions, but for the most part, pretty girls are often dull and hard to please.
